A Message to MHSA Supporters
Dear MHSA Supporters,
While we as a country, a business, a family and as individuals are facing very challenging times, I want to assure you that MHSA’s 13 impactful programs throughout Greater Boston continue to provide emergency services to over 1,000 clients a day. Our dedicated team members are providing a hot meal, groceries, shelter, and recovery support to many people who are among the most vulnerable to COVID-19 (the coronavirus). Each day, we are working to ensure that our actions are aligned with the most recent recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH).
We are grateful for our hundreds of employees and volunteers for their resilience as they ensure that each of our clients are fed, cared for and are taking the necessary precautions to avoid the spread of COVID-19. We applaud everyone in our community for doing their part to keep their family and community safe throughout this unprecedented event. We appreciate each of you for your continued support, without which MHSA could not continue to provide our vital services during these trying times.
I encourage you to take care of yourself and rally together as a community to show our support to one another, because every act of kindness matters more now than ever.
Bob Mills, CEO
In order to ensure that we meet the needs of those who rely on the MHSA Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen located at 545 Moody St. for nutritious meals while minimizing the risk of spreading the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we will be providing meals on a takeout basis only until further notice. Takeout meals will be available 7 days a week between 4:30 pm and 5:30pm. All are welcome. We kindly request that people who receive takeout food help keep the neighborhood clean and properly dispose of all trash. We appreciate your ongoing support and understanding.
