Scattered Sites
Middlesex Human
Service Agency's newest program is a valuable addition to the continuum of
services provided to our homeless families. Scattered Sites consists of, at
present, one hundred and eight independent units (apartments) located throughout the City
of Boston. This program allows our residents an all important intermediate step
between congregate shelter living and permanent independent housing. During
their time with us there, which varies from nine to eighteen months, families
are receiving intensive case management, housing advocacy support, supervision
and services from MHSA Case Managers. Those services, as well as any other
referrals needed are provided to our Families in their apartments, further
emphasizing the model of independence and stigma reduction.
