Self Help

Al-Anon/Alateen Massachusetts 1-508-366-0556
The primary purpose of Al-Anon/Alateen is to help families and friends of
alcoholics. Alateen is part of Al-Anon and is for young people affected by
another's drinking. Members of Al-Anon/Alateen learn to live happily whether the
alcoholic continues to drink or not. We learn that alcoholism is a disease and
that we are not alone. By putting the focus on ourselves, we begin to reclaim
our lives.

Al-Anon/Alateen 1-800-356-9996
For over 55 years, Al-Anon (which includes Alateen for younger members) has been
offering strength and hope for friends and families of problem drinkers. It is
estimated that each alcoholic affects the lives of at least four other people...
alcoholism is truly a family disease. No matter what relationship you have with
an alcoholic, whether they are still drinking or not, all who have been affected
by someone else’s drinking can find solutions that lead to serenity in the
Al-Anon/Alateen fellowship.
